The Husband Sweater

I hope I'm not cursed. I'm making the sweater. For him. Out of very expensive yarn. Merino et Soie 10ply by Naturally. It's 70% NZ Merino and 30% Silk. Here's a pic of the back so far (almost finished):

He likes it too. I had a terrible time trying to get a pattern that would fit right, but I have adapted a Lion Yarns raglan pullover so it fits nice over his shoulders.

It's our first wedding anniversary tomorrow and Keith got me frangipanis! Imported from the Cook Islands, where we had our honeymoon. They smell so so so soo good, the best smell in the world!!! Ya wanna see? Do ya? Hmmmm ok...

Also - I got a job up at Waikato University!!! I'm so so so happy. I've been at my current company for about 3 1/2 years and it's a great opportunity for me YAY!!!!!

More on that later though.

I have also been knitting a little vest for my friend who's fourth baby is due in a week. It's in acrylic but who cares, she'll need it to be easy wash, and it's not that cold yet. The next one will be in the real stuff.
